FMO Chair Andrew Yorke and Vice Chair Stuart Burn have both been admitted into the Worshipful Company of Spectacle Makers (WCSM) as Freemen.

Andrew’s and Stuart’s new Freeman status recognises their tireless work in the optical industry, helping the FMO provide a national platform for optical manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and business service providers to communicate, educate and innovate.

The FMO plays a key role in educating the public about the importance looking after their sight and having regular eye examinations. The FMO is also responsible for Optrafair, the UK’s leading optical exhibition, which is widening its reach to incorporate Fashion, Medicalisation and Optics.   The 2019 show will be held at the NEC, Birmingham from 30 March to 1 April 2019.

Andrew is the MD of Topcon, a global innovator in ophthalmic imaging systems, software and instrumentation, and has over 30 years’ experience in ophthalmic, sales, marketing, product and business management. Stuart is the MD of Performance Finance, a specialist in optical finance, and has a very strong financial background.
