Monthly Bad Payers List
Although not a report on the creditworthiness of those on the list, subscribing members receive an invaluable and up to date source of information about bad payers in the sector.
Perhaps more importantly, by contacting every debtor before adding them to the list, in many cases FMO can secure prompt payment.

FMO Standards Panel meets regularly together with standards representatives from the other optical bodies to ensure that new standards that affect our members have expert UK input and are worded in a way that enables the standards to be easily understood.

The voice of optics
FMO is proud to be a founder member of the Optical Confederation. This coalition enables FMO as a trade body to influence responses to Government and other consultations, and to ensure that on the big strategic issues for the sector, we are able to help our members more than we could do on our own.

Focus Groups and General Meetings
FMO has three focus groups at present, for Equipment, Frames and Lenses. An IT Focus Group is being developed.
Any member can attend any Focus Group meeting. These are held twice yearly as part of one day General Meetings which all members can attend free of charge.
As well as enabling members to meet with other members from their own area of the sector in the Focus Group meetings, the General Meetings provide an unparalleled networking opportunity.
The next General Meeting and Focus Group meetings will be held in the West Midlands on 18 October 2017.
